Living Hope Kids

“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’ ” –Matthew 19:14

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”

-3 John 1:4

At Living Hope, our Children’s Ministry is dedicated to teaching children ages 1-12 about the Bible, why we believe what we believe, and how we should live today, in light of Jesus’ return and the coming Kingdom of God.  We have a safe environment where the children learn, connect, and have fun! Our desire is that each child that comes would feel loved, that they would develop a closer relationship with our God, and that they would learn to live like Jesus lived.

Each Sunday, the children meet while their parents attend the adult service.  During our time together, we pray, sing, have a lesson, talk about our week, and have a snack.  Often, we will do an activity or craft in conjunction with the lesson.  Our teachers and volunteers have a passion and a love for children.  We welcome their curiosity and inquisitiveness and look forward to getting to know each child’s unique personality.

We consider each child and family to truly be a part of our family—the family of God.  As brothers and sisters, we value and treasure each relationship.  We understand how important the formative years are in a child’s life and we want them to graduate from the children’s program with a strong understanding of the Bible, who God is and how much he loves them, what Jesus accomplished with his life, death, and resurrection, and how they are to live and serve today.  Children may be young, but God can do great things with their life!

The LH Kids Service Process

When you come to our church, the children sit with their parents in the sanctuary for the beginning of the service until they are dismissed. Children aged 0-2 meet upstairs in the mountain room and children 3-6 meet upstairs in the sun room. Children 7-12 meet 0n the main floor in the conference room.

Parents pick up their children after the service and everyone can enjoy refreshments in the sanctuary. We encourage everyone to hang out and fellowship together after the service. One of our greatest joys is seeing the children play together after the service, hopefully creating bonds for a lifetime!

“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
Deuteronomy 6:6-7
